Caitlyn modeling her new summer dress!
A few days ago Caitlyn brought me one tennis shoe & one sandal and insisted I put them on her. It was quite amusing watching her walk around the house lopsided. :)

Yesterday we went to visit our friends Luke, Kristina & Madison in Colorado Springs. Unfortunately Madison wasn't feeling very well, but the girls still had fun playing together.

So Sunday morning when Caitlyn woke up, Kyle and I both were amazed at her crazy hairdo. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures, even though I'm sure she won't be too thrilled with these pictures when she's older.

Kyle went and got breakfast for Caitlyn and him Sunday morning and Caitlyn loved the pancakes & syrup. By the time she was done eating syrup was everywhere, so here Kyle is trying to clean up the sticky mess.

One Busy Little Girl!

This weekend Caitlyn's Uncles Paul & Jordan came down to visit us. Caitlyn definitely didn't mind having extra people to play with.
Saturday afternoon we spent some time outside and her uncles tried to teach her how to kick the soccerball.
(I think she decided carrying it was much easier!) :)

Then her Dad & Uncles started showing her how to swing a golf club. She really didn't care to watch, but had more fun finding the golfballs after they hit them.

Just chillin' on the couch with her uncles.
Naptime!
Saturday night we went to the Colorado Rapids soccer game in Denver. As you can see from these two pics, Caitlyn took the game very seriously.

The Rapids' mascot came by twice to shake Caitlyn's hand....Caitlyn didn't mind at all!

At halftime I couldn't resist taking a picture of the Rocky Mountain sunset. We are so blessed to live in Colorado!

So we bought Caitlyn a drink, but she decided to be a mooch and drink Uncle Jordan's lemonade instead!

Caitlyn has started making lots of different faces lately, particularly by contorting her lips in different ways. It's quite funny!....Her "fish face" is our favorite, but I haven't been able to get a picture of it yet.

Golfing with Dad!

Last night Caitlyn wanted to play outside as late as we would let her, so Kyle thought it would be fun to show Caitlyn how to play golf. Surprisingly she found it quite entertaining!
She would laugh hysterically every time Kyle swung the golf club....(I don't know if that means her Dad has bad form maybe ...?) :)
(I apologize some of the pictures didn't turn out very well...I didn't realize that I had the camera on the wrong setting).

Happy Father's Day!

We hope everyone had a Happy Father's Day....Caitlyn & I had fun making Kyle a big breakfast this morning (even though Caitlyn mainly helped with the eating part and not so much the cooking part). :) Below is a fun father/daughter pic!

Ice Cream Heaven!

This week we had to travel to Nebraska because sadly Kyle's grandfather passed away last Saturday. On our way down we stopped for lunch and Caitlyn had her first ice cream cone. You can see from the pics how enthusiastically she "attacked" the yummy treat. "Life just doesn't get any better than this!" "Hey, Mom, do I have something on my nose?....I'm just saving it for later!"
Since the trip was over six hours, we decided to break down and buy her a DVD player to help occupy her time while we were driving. Here we were stopped at a gas station and you can see that she didn't have a hard time adjusting to her new entertainment.
She already thinks she's an expert at operating the DVD player, as she pushes the various buttons on the screen.

A Walk in the Park!

One evening this week we decided to go for a walk to the park across the street from where we live. In this picture you can see Caitlyn's "enthusiasm" for being in her stroller.
It wasn't long before Caitlyn made it very clear that she wanted to walk with Kyle and I, and she didn't want to ride in her stroller.

Soon she decided that she wanted to push her stroller, as if to let us know that she thinks she's quite the "big girl" now.
