Colorful Sprinkle Cupcakes

Caitlyn always wants it to be someone's birthday so she can make cupcakes (a.k.a. make a huge sprinkle mess all over the kitchen). It wasn't anyone's birthday last week, but she was thrilled to make cupcakes for her Dad just because. :)

Caitlyn was so proud of her ponytails because she said it was "just like Kelsy" (her friend/Uncle Andy's girlfriend).

This is typically how Brayden goes to sleep. I put him in his crib & he pulls the blanket over his face as if to say, "ok, I'm napping now or hopefully my sister will leave me alone now"--It's too funny! (Note to his grandparents, so you don't worry: I don't let him leave the blanket over his face, I pull it down after a couple minutes when he's almost asleep.)

This past weekend we went to the Nuggets vs. Hornets basketball game in downtown Denver with my three brothers & Andy's girlfriend, Kelsy. It was "Kid's Night" so several mascots from various Colorado sports teams were at the game with Rocky, the Nuggets mascot. I think Caitlyn had more fun watching the mascots than the game. ;)

My Little Helpers

Caitlyn frequently likes to help me fold laundry, but this week Brayden decided to "help" me.

So I guess he decided folding the laundry was too hard, so eating it sounded like a better plan.

Last Monday, Caitlyn went & got a haircut at the salon Kyle and I go to. She basically just got her ends & bangs trimmed, but she was quite pleased with her new 'do.

Brayden's 1st Cereal

Since Brayden turned 6 months old last week, his pediatrician said that we should start him on cereal. You can see from the pictures how thrilled Brayden was with his introduction to solid foods. ;)

"I really don't think that I can eat this stuff, Mom."

"Ya, I don't think so, Mom....thanks anyway."

"Get me outta this seat before they try to feed me more of that awful cereal!"

"Please, no more!"

So relieved his first experience with cereal is over.
