Caitlyn's Princess Party

Saturday we had a Princess Birthday Party for Caitlyn and a few of her friends. I realize that at this point she thinks her birthday is a month long celebration (since this is the 3rd celebration), but it's just too much fun to celebrate your birthday when you are turning 3! :)

During lunch this week, Brayden was sitting on Kyle's lap & Kyle started rubbing Brayden's head behind his ear & we had to laugh at how our typically active son "zoned out". He just laid back against Kyle and looked like he was going to fall asleep. I guess we learned a new trick to help him relax & go to sleep. :)

Tea is Served!

So this past week Kyle got to experience one of the joys of having a daughter...joining her for a tea party! Caitlyn got a tea set from her Grandpa Dan & Grandma Connie for her birthday & there have been daily tea parties at our house since. ;)

Caitlyn got many new outfits for her birthday & on Tuesday she couldn't decide what outfit to wear....her solution--wear 2 outfits! She initially had the pink dress on, but then decided to put the leggings & shirt outfit over the top.

One morning this week, Caitlyn was brushing her teeth & Brayden kept trying to steal her toothbrush. I looked in one of our bathroom drawers & saw that we had a new, spare toothbrush. Since Brayden did cut his first tooth this week, I figured he might as well start practicing his brushing. So as you can see here, the kids were much happier (as was Mom) when they didn't have to fight over one toothbrush.

State Basketball & Caitlyn's 3rd Birthday

In addition to getting to spend a couple days with my parents in Gillette, we were able to watch Caitlyn's Uncle Kameron play in the State Basketball tournament in Casper. I have created a slideshow of pictures from the basketball tournament & of Caitlyn's 3rd birthday. I think at this point she thinks her birthday is several days, not just one, and we are having a party for her with her friends at the end of the month. As my mom would say, I don't know how to do "simple" when it comes to birthdays. ;)

A Very Busy Week....

So I need to apologize for being so behind at posting new pictures, but our days these past couple weeks have/are packed. This past weekend we went to Laramie & watched Kyle's youngest brother, Kameron, play in the Wyoming High School Basketball Regional Tournament. They took 1st at the tournament & are undefeated for the season (24-0). Tomorrow we will be leaving for the State Tournament in Casper & we are excited to see how the games go. The past couple days, Caitlyn's Uncle Kris & his girlfriend, Heidi, have been visiting us during their spring break. Caitlyn has had fun playing with them, and especially loves dressing up with some of Heidi's things. She had fun "modeling" Heidi's earrings while wearing her Cinderella dress-up shoes & purse.

The JOYS of having a sister...I was getting ready one morning last week and turned around to find that Caitlyn had decided to "accessorize" her brother's hair....needless to say, he wasn't too thrilled!
