Fun bowling with Friends

Once again I apologize for getting behind posting new pictures. We've been busy the past couple weeks with alot of house projects. We have converted our loft upstairs into a 4th bedroom, which will be the twins' nursery. Last weekend, my family came down and helped us paint all three of the bedrooms, so now Caitlyn and Brayden have their own rooms. In the next couple weeks, our contractor will then be partially finishing our basement, which give us an additional family room/kids' playroom. I will post pictures soon to show you the before and after pics of the kids' rooms and nursery. :)

 This past weekend we met our friends in North Denver and let the kids go bowling for the first time. That night when we were driving back to Parker, Brayden informed us that we going to go bowling the next day, so I think they had fun. ;)

 Earlier last week Caitlyn had pajama day at school and she got to bring her favorite stuffed animal, which is her dog, Cassie. She made sure Cassie was dressed up too, and Cassie won the "Best Dressed Dog" prize out of the class.

 Caitlyn was quite pleased with the flower and balloon her Dad gave her for Valentine's Day.

 He's been wanting a puppy like his sister has...(and since Dad & Mom have no plans of a real puppy in their future, we're happy that this one seems to suffice)!

This past Sunday we babysat our friends' 7 month-old twins and their 2 year-old son. Kyle and I felt pretty good after we managed to feed and bathe 5 kids under the age of 5, but we were definitely exhausted by the end of the evening. It just gave us a glimpse of our future in 2 months. ;) Our kids loved having the extra playmates though. Here is a pic of Caitlyn and Brayden with Charli and Jackson.

 We are trying to get ready for the arrival of our twins, so last week the carseats we ordered arrived. Caitlyn & Brayden decided to test them out and make sure they were ok for their younger brothers.

 The kids were making goofy faces in their bubble bath the other night, so we couldn't resist capturing a couple of these funny moments.

The First Snowstorm of the Year

 Last night it started snowing at our house, and at this point we have 14 inches and it continues to snow! The kids were so excited to see the snow when they woke up this morning and couldn't wait to go out and play in it. While Kyle shoveled the driveway (no, Mom, I didn't help him--I tried, but he insisted that I couldn't), the kids enjoyed the big drifts of snow in the driveway and front yard.

 You can see that it was still snowing quite a bit while the kids played, as evidenced by Caitlyn's hair and eyelashes covered in snowflakes.

This past Tuesday I had my 25 week appointment. Both twins are measuring the same still, so there aren't any indications of the twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, which is a huge blessing. The doctor said though that they are measuring small. He said that if you were to compare the twins with 100 other babies born at 25 weeks and assign them a number based on size, the twins would be given a 10 out of a scale of 1 to 100. He just wants to continue to monitor them, and we are going to continue to pray that the one placenta will adequately feed both babies. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do, but I'm going to try to increase my protein intake to see if they can measure a little bigger at my next appointment.
