On Saturday we decided to take advantage of the warm fall weather and go up to Estes Park to see the fall colors.
We took the kids to Bear Lake which has a very "kid-friendly" trail around it.
This was Brayden's first trip to the mountains and he loved every minute of it!
Brayden leading the way--sure that he knows exactly where he's going.
"C'mon, Dad, keep up!"
Brayden stopping to point out something that fascinated him (i.e. a rock, tree).
Checking out a tree trunk with his Dad
"Hey, Dad, look at the chipmunks!"
Brayden stopping to tell the chipmunks "Hi!" (only about 100 times).
A quick shot of Bear Lake
Brayden found everything to be fascinating, though the leaves and rocks were not as interesting to his sister.
....And another pit stop.
Caitlyn got tired of all of Brayden's "stops" so she's helped him move along.
Our Little Sweetie
Brayden climbing the rock thinking we were going to let him get in the water.
Brayden seriously wanted to get in the water and threw a fit when we pulled him away to continue our walk around the lake.
Trying to get a picture of the kids with Kyle and you can see how cooperative Brayden was...(he was still ticked that he couldn't get in the lake).
Caitlyn getting annoyed that her brother wouldn't pose for a picture.
Caitlyn gave up on getting her brother to cooperate and gave me a cute smile.
Caitlyn still posing while her brother is still oblivious to the camera.
Caitlyn STILL posing and Brayden now making a run for it!
The view on our drive down the mountain
We drove past many elk as we drove throughout Estes Park.
One of my favorite pics!
